Alex Jones played varsity softball for St. John’s School starting her freshman year. In that time she received All SPC three times and All South Zone twice. As a junior, she helped St. John’s win the SPC championship. As a senior, she batted .518 with six home runs and served as team captain.She played for BreakAway Speed 16u and 18u and had offers from Middlebury College, Scripps College, and the University of Houston. She committed to the University of Houston her senior year and played for one season before deciding to put all her focus on her academics. She graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Energy and Sustainability.

Alex played with BreakAway for two years before going to college. The coaching she received from BreakAway was integral to getting her to the D1 level and she is excited to be back as coach to support and encourage young women in their softball careers.
