Kelvin Furlough

Kelvin graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas TX where he won district titles in the 100, 200, and 400 meters. As the 4A state champion in the 400-meter dash, he not only claimed victory but also shattered the school record, leaving an indelible mark on the school's athletic history. In addition to his track success, Kelvin also played cornerback on the football team during his high school career.


Kelvin earned a full scholarship to the University of Houston, where he continued to excel. As a key member of the men's 4x400 relay team, he helped break the school record for the 4x400 meter relay and achieved notable success at the Conference USA Championships in 2011, securing titles in both the 200m and 400m events.  His achievements on the national stage earned a honor of being a 2x 2nd team All-American.

Kelvin graduated with a bachelor's degree in health, equipping his knowledge and expertise to pursue a career in athletics and coaching.

Following his collegiate career, he took on the role of head coach for track at Yes Prep Bay Oaks, where he spent four years developing young athletes and leading the girls' team to a state championship in the 4x100 relay. His dedication to the sport and their athletes is a testament to his passion for track and field and his commitment to fostering the next generation of champions.
